In this project we developed a micoservice environment which allows researchers to apply for varies sensitive data sets. If granted by the administrative team, they get access to datasets in different ways, which depend on the level of protection it needs – including automaically provisioned remote desktop workspaces. The system is split in a public userspace and private admin area and is fully automated using Ansible/AWX creating digital work environemts. Via Wireguard and Apache Guacamole(web encapsulated VNC) the VServers for each digital work environment can be accessed and used.

Within the scope of the fdz project we have designed a complex system with a strong focus on security and usability in cooperation with a it security company.
